ABOUT ME

Wednesday, May 3, 2017. (Christine T. Nguyen | The North State Journal)

Hi, there! My name is Cece Pascual. I love giraffes, the great outdoors, the North Carolina Tar Heels, and pizza!

I am currently living in Raleigh, North Carolina seeking employment. Before this, I spent three months traveling in Europe! And before this, I worked at the North State Journal, a startup publication and North Carolina’s first statewide newspaper. I also dabble in hand lettering, calligraphy, brush lettering, cake baking, hiking and making Snapchat filters for friends’ weddings!

Before my time at the North State Journal I was a designer the GateHouse Media Center for News and Design, a design hub where I laid out pages for several of our publications, including the Providence Journal and the Columbus Dispatch. Before that, I interned full-time at the Tampa Bay Times designing sports, features, and regional sections. Throughout college, I worked with Daily Tar Heel, Passport magazine, Homefront magazine and Orlando magazine. You can learn a little more about my work experience on my résumé. I am fluent in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop and have some experience with Sketch, HTML/CSS, photography, and audio/video editing. I’m constantly teaching myself new things via Massive Open Online Classes (otherwise known as MOOCs) via sites like Coursera and Codecademy!

Take a look around and do not hesitate to contact me!
